ok this kid at school has a 03 ford police interceptor 4 door(retired cop car)
claimed 350 horse 4.6 custom sidepipes,intake, tune, automatic, yadda yadda yadda....long story short he wants to line em up, i have a 96
formula m6 with a tune, full magna flow exhaust 30 lb/hr injectors im thinkin i should put money on it but i just wanted to hear what you guys had to say let me hear what you got to say!

I've never heard a 4.6 mustang short block putting out 350hp. From what I know they're around 225bhp.

Even if my hp estamites are wrong, it's a heavy POS thats probably tired (from being a cops car) and HEAVY.

theres a s/c crown vic ex popo interceptor and he cant keep up with me.. granted i have a few goodies but nothing out of the usual... id say unless youre absolutely sure hes not FI put money on it and then buy urself somethin nice for christmas..:)

in my part of town, there are at least 20 to 30 ex-cop cars around ,they bought them through a surplus,,,,one in paticular had an'' interceptor '' logo on the back,,,,just so happens he hangs out a the body shop that i do,,,,,last night i caught him there,,,,and i asked him about the car,,,,,and if he thought his ''crown '' ran good enough to beat anything,,,,his reply was yes,,,,,and then he starts to babble off about what the car came with....3;73 and the whole nine,,,,,,it was all greek to me,,,,being it was a ford,,,,but it seem as though ,,most of the upgraded stuff on his car was from a gt mustang,,,,,,he even said that some of them had 351 FI svo engines,,,,dont know what it means,,,but he did say he had tried a couple of z28 93to 2002 and he came no where close,,,,,,,,

Even if he upgraded to mustang parts big deal:jerkit: lol. His car still outwieghs mustangs by a lot and from what I remember 99-2004 stangs only had around 260flywheel horse. 260hp in a 4000+ lb car still sucks and is nothing to be afraid of even if your in a beat up Lt1 with 200,0000 miles.

why do you have 30# injectors? whats stock?

good question, maybe one of the factory injectors went bad and instead of buying another stock one he upgraded all of them.

You will be fine. The biggest thing to get our GTs moving is gears and weight reduction. Add 800+lbs and you are climbing a much steeper hill. Autos are good once you put have J-mod, stall, tune for higher shift points but still.

There is no such thing as a 351 svo in any of these ex cop cars. The largest a 281 can go safely is a 324. The SVO heads are like lt4 heads to you fbody guys. The are still 2v though. The SVO intake is the precursor to the Bullitt.

Instead of racing for money race for a bumper sticker. And go find the gayest one you can and place it there!
