Need opinions.

I recently picked up a rear for my 98 trans am, I got a 3.42 rear non-traction control from a junkyard. Paid $350 for it. I took it home and took the cover off and the teeth are feathered over a bit. None are chipped or gouged up, just feathered over a bit. The junkyard doesnt have another one without traction control. I can get my money back. Should I just take it back, or do you think the minor feathering will be bad? Do you think I can find another one some where else for the same price?

can you just get one with traction control and unhook the wires?

What do you mean by feathered over? Can you post a picture of it?
The only difference between traction control and non is the reluctor rings abd sensors. You can leave the sensors in it and still use the rear if it has the ratio you want?

to switch from no asr to an asr means you have to install the abs ring on the carrier and drill the hole on top of the housing for the sensor, its a bitch,

as for the teeth, thing call a professional such as richmond gear or talk to the local driveling guy, rear ends are something most cant do but the ones who can now their shit,
