If I could get a set of 3.42's for free would the difference be worth the work it would take to install them?
Thanks

IMO no, not worth it - not much difference between the two. I have 3.42's in my car and it's a nice gear for the A4, I originally had 2.73 and swapped the entire rear from an M6 car. I'd consider 3.73's if you want to change.

if you have a turbo then yeah... if you're just doing minor perf mods for now i'd go with 373...

I agree, going to 3.42's would not be worth the work.

go with 3.73...
3.42 is not worth the time or the money spent to upgrade gears for an A4...

no, Huge waste of time and money!! If your going to change gears make it worth it!! 373 for auto 4.10 for a six speed.

the main difference you will notice is that your speedo will be off
