Well, I'm no pro, but I thought it turned out pretty good.
Doors: If I had known how much of a pain the the butt this was I never would have even started. The worst part is that I've only done one door... so I'm only half way done.
Vents: The pictures don't do this justice at all!! The paint is a metallic silver enamel that matches my car paint exactly! I shot 3 coats of base, and 3 coats of clear... and you would never know that they weren't done professionally. Hell, I wish the finish on my car was this nice...
On to the pics!!

Honestly, the pics suck on the vents, I'm pretty disappointed. The one close-up had dirt on the vent when I took the pic, and makes it looks like there are rough spots or some pieces of crap stuck in the paint, but it's just some dirt that blew out on the vent on the way to work. In person, it looks just as good as the paint on the car. :yup:

Looks very nice. It's very subtle.
What steps did you do to do it? Did you just paint it? Or did you sand it and then pain it? Was any primer used?

ah the PITA of interior painting. Looks good though man. I haven't seen that part on the AC vents ever painted. Very creative

Thanks. I removed the vents, washed them with dish soap to get any armor all etc off. Then sanded using 1800 grit (only thing I had), then 3 coats of enamel and clear from the local hobby shop. I got lucky that they had a metallic paint that perfectly matches. Baked it all in the oven at 150F for about 2 hrs to speed up the hardening process, then popped them back in! The drivers side was the biggest pain, because it's moded as part of the dash cover. So I had to carefully mask the vent and use an exacto knife to get a good clean edge.

Yea, I know. One step at a time you know...

Since it is already resurrected, Kiss the ground for me Beast. I'm from Longview and haven't seen it for over a year now. I'm in the Navy and probably won't see home for another 4 years.
The vents look great. Not too crazy about the door mod, I like the stock a little better.
