lambo doors

Doe's anyone have lambo doors on their car? Serisouly thinking about it, on my 01 SS. Just wanted to know where i could find the kit and how much weight it might add.

I can't remember were i saw them at but its going to run about 2500 just for the kit. There awsome, but not sure if its worth the money.

last time i got a price for a lambo door on my firebird it woudla been $1500 and i think that was includiing labor, but i'd have to check... it was a bolt on kit so no repainting would have been needed. unfortunatly i didnt have the money, bu ti have seen the lambo doors on fbodys and i think it looks good.

It's ok. Too pricey for me. I don't think it adds too much weight and I think theres some "massaging" needed to make it work.

They have kits where the doors open up normaly then swing up....kinda like a balljoint (ive only seen them on a corvette but i'd imagine they would make them for f-bodies as well) the kit goes for about a grand

because they all have to open like 3 or 4 inches to get the door out of the way so it can open... any one i have seen (mustang, civic, accord, trans am, rx7, s10, navigator, focuses) do this...

never seen one that opens all the way then goes up... actually that woudl be pretty lame..

yeah cut the ricer bullshit. its not worth it. 1500 bucks can buy you 50 more hp. if you want lambo doors, buy a lambo.

yeah works great on a T/A... to my knowledge they did the first vertical lift door on a 4th gen not TOO long ago... i was thinking around feb... (could be wayyyyyy off on this)... but the camaro has something to do with the way the mirrors are... i would have to see one in person to see what kind of modding we are talking b4 i got brave enough to do it...

and if you want it dont let anyone tell you its rice or anything... i do beleive we are in the appearance section here... its full of rice crap... wheels are technically rice unless they weigh less... I personally would not spend that kind of cash to do it, but if i found THE car i wanted for a good price and it had them... i would be excited it came with them... or if i could get them done for free... hell yeah... lets you stand out with out painting your car greenw ith purple flames...

I would just make sure that it is reversable... might get tired of it...

theres a guy here in buffalo that has the lambo kit done to his 02 camaro. it didnt look like he had to cut into anything and the kit was a complete "bolt-on" so he could take it off and there would be no way to tell it was ever on the car. i'll try to find pics later and post em up

Yep. Allow me to tell you how much of a pain in the ass it is to install them first of all. I helped my friend put them on his Expedition.Took us all day including having a Ford technition with us that works at a dealership and services them all day long. Major PITA. When they were done? They were cool for about 2 weeks. Then as we would get in and out of the doors, we realized "wow this sucks". Also, try lining them up. Not much fun either. I can't even tell you how many times someone has not had the door completly lined up and slammed it the wrong way. It's like closing a door thats too low. Not worth it. :thumbdn:

And I know I'm not a spelling and grammer king, but I'm tired.
