Hey guys, cant believe I missed this website when I had my 01' Z28 a few years back...

I am doing a supply chain project about the LS1 engine that requires my partner and I to describe how the product was designed -> manufactured -> transported -> marketed -> etc. There is a lot of info out there about the design team, different generations of the LS, what cars the LS1 was in (duh!) and all that good stuff.

Basically I am having a difficult time finding out who the big manufacturing and supplier players are in the process. If anyone has any helpful hints, links, or information they can throw my way that would be awesome!

Ps. I miss my camaro very much :(

Welcome to the sight Clint...well....I'll give you what I know....
The block comes from Canada.....The LS1 block is made of 319 aluminum heat-treated to the T5 standard by the Montupet Corporation of Ontario, Canada. The case weighs 107 lb. Compared to the Gen II's 160 lb. block, that’s a significant weight saving...Of course AC Delco did the MAF/Injectors etc......and we all know GM worked with Dupont for the first "plastic" intake manifold.....King of flow Ron Sperry designed the heads and the first "angled valves"......and GM hired his ass pretty quick :) That's about all I remember.....:coffee:
