Hey all, I've been troubleshooting a problem i've had with my car since i got it and i really need some help! The coolant will boil over when im just cruising around town for a while, however only when the A/C is off. I know the fans come on with the a/c to cool the condesor but the motor isn't too hot. The hottest i've seen it might be 210-215 at the most. HELP! :brick:

drain the radiator...put knew in..
there is prolly to much water in the coolant..lettin it boil at 212 or just over 212..
mix a new blend of coolant and stick in there....50/50 or so..
i see ur from canada so i would mix new appropraite to the temps..dont want it to freeze

one of your fans should operate without the AC on but when the temp hits a predetermined point. It sounds like this fan is not coming on possibly because the fan motor is bad or maybe the relay to the fan has crapped out. Try running a hot wire directly to the fan to see if it still works then go fromm there.

Do you know if the previous owner ever had the car tuned?
are you able to unplug the wire connectors to each fan and test each fan motor to make sure they are both operational?
Have you puilled the therostat to make sure it is the proper one for the car and that it has not been modified?

I know the previous owner didn't have a tune, Both fans do work, i've tried them myself. Come to think of it; i didn't try a new radcap, i'll grab one after work and give it a shot, the car is going into storage anyway on friday, boy is my face is gonna be red if it works. :sillyme:
