I have an Alpine CDA-D852 and I am looking at getting a 12 disk CD changer out of a 00 Camaro. The owners manual says that it can support "Ai-Net" recievers. Does anyone know if this combo will work?

An Alpine HU can only control an Alpine changer. If the changer is a different brand you're out of luck.

I thought there was an adaptor out there you can use, as long as the aftermarket cd player will work with a 12 disc, companys or not all you need is the adaptor

Just use a hardwired FM modulator

PIE makes an adapter that allows you to use an after-market changer with the factory HU. I used one with a Kenwood changer when I first got my car. I'm not aware of any adapters that let you use an after-market HU with another brand's changer.

LOL, if anyone finds such a thing let me know ASAP! I have two cd changers that I can't use because of the new HU.
