I am going to get the QA1 (HAL) shocks with 300lb springs and was wondering how hard and how long it would take to put these in??

The rears are simple and should take less than 30 min.
The front struts, if you are doing just a swap(old assem. out and new in) should take around an 1hr. to 1.5hrs.

Yea i'd rather do it myself because a performance shop around here wants $550 to do shocks and springs for all 4 corners!!!!!:screwy:

I put shocks and springs on my car and it was easy. just make sure you use the shock spring compressor on the front and rear. I Found it a lot easier to use than the normal spring compressor.

I'm assuming that you are going to reuse your stock perches and hardware for the front? If you have to break down the spring & strut assembly and re-assemble the new setup, it will take a little while to do...the thing that takes the most time is compressing & uncompressing the spring, you have to be careful to not let it fly off and hurt someone.

Here's a how-to I wrote on front & rear suspension.

Very nice write up!!! What i'm planning on doing is getting the QA1 Single adjustible shocks with 300lb springs and same for the rear just no springs. So in saying that i know it isnt going to be a real pain but it will be time consuming...
