GM Blue color springs?

Just need to know what were the blue color GM springs for and what is the maximum lift they can support?

The Blue springs were used in the 2001 LS6 engine. GM also includes them in the LS1 Hotcam kit. Both the 2001 LS6 cam and the LS1 Hotcam have a valve lift of .525". I'm not sure of the maximum lift they are capable of handling.
