Shifter knob?

Hey y'all - I need to replace my stock AT shifter, it has some serious wear-and-tear. How difficult is the replacement process and should I roll with a OEM replacement or get something more fun? Thanks so much and...

Very simple to replace. Get a flathead screwdriver, put it in neutral and pry out the staple on the front of the knob. The knob will wiggle off after the staple is out.

ive seen some decent auto shifters but i want to know if i could make a hurst t handle shifter work on an automatic?? any links?? hit me up guys!
