Without a doubt, these have got to be the best bulbs you can buy. At least without switching to hid's.

I didn't even think about that. You'll need an "open bucket" conversion before you can use something like that.

Sorry.

sealed beams are headlights that have the bulb and the housing in one self contained unit. when you see a trans am with its lights up, you are seeing 4 sealed beam light units. sylvania doesnt currently make silverstars for trans ams, which is in part why i did a hid retrofit on my car.

I believe he made it himself. Do a search for just his name here. It should come up for the how to, if i remember correctly.

T/A owners are in a minority as far as major manufacturers go. Why tool up to make something that will never sell in large quantities - you'll never recoup your costs. We love our cars but it's all about the money, unfortunately. Sometimes someone passionate about their hobby will make special one-purpose items, but that's a labor of love. When I first got my T/A I too searched for replacement headlights. The closest I got was a now defunct company called AutoOoptiks. They took the sealed beams and converted the back of the reflector so that you could mount standard H1 - H4 type bulbs into the headlight, and you can buy those type of bulbs in many different varieties and wattages. Sort of understand why AutoOoptiks went out of business now? There were all sorts of bulb alignment problems with those conversions I've heard, something that you normally don't get from a Sylvania or GE since those issues are worked out for production and are automated.

for Camaro I think u can just replace the bulb, but for the TA the whole bulb and casting is one unit, so can't just get super light bulbs silvestar, no good. I need a whole new casting and bulb but TA don't freaking make them.. still the best option out there for TAs I read the Euro kit, sounds nice.
