I have a '98 Z28 M6 and have been looking around for some affordable tuning software. I've looked into the Tunercat program for 97/98 LS1s and seems fairly comprehensive and relatively straightforward and not overly expensive.I also like the fact that it's not VIN locked so I may share it with other local 97/98 LS1 guys. Any info would really be helpful.
Thanks

you can check out monodox.com very little help available from what ive found on the net scanner program still in beta for the past year...i would definitly consider hptuners as well the scanner is one of th ebest in the game & with pricing very competitive just the ease of use will make it worth the extra few dollars.

I think all the tuning software including EFILive has unlimited 97-98 programming. Except ls1edit that is.... :)

I've got TunerCat. I'm very happy with it, but I don't have any experience with the other packages for comparison.

I have been to Tunecats web site but he doesn't list that it's for a 99 z28?
Will it work with my car and any cable.
I have just bought a cable that reads VPW protcol and it scans my car ok with a proram called OBDII scanmaster which I got free with the cable.
What package do I buy from Tunner cat?
Cheers Andy

email them the owner can give you the rundown of what they offer...no your cable will not work with their software...they will give you a cable.
