there's a guy i know that put a b/m megashifter in his 98 TA. for the 99-02 cars, we have a module on the side of the shifter , so the computer knows what gear it's in. the 98 did not.

b/m makes a locking plate, if you are looking to manually shift without skipping over.

Interesting about the B&M shifter control gate, guess that's what they came up with since they could not produce a shifter. I wrote B&M and asked if they were working on a shifter for the 4L60 trans, and they said they tried to produce one, but failed. Hurst said they had one in a project car, but I have yet to see it. The shifter gate should work well.
