Ya thats what i want to find out because i have both trans couldnt i just take the guts like gears syco's and shift forks from the Lt1 trans and put them into the one for the ls1?

All the guts are interchangeable. You will have to use the same (LS1)front adapter, clutch housing and input shaft ( they are different and won't swap)if you are going back into aN ls1 application. The LT1 does not have a concentric slave ( why the adapter dif ) and the block bolt patterns are different( why the clutch housing dif). The LS1 input is longer( why you have to carry it over)
Of course if you were doning this , you would also ( well I would) change the 3/4 fork to iron and install carbon -particle synchronizer blocker rings at the same time.

You will only be able to upgrade the 3/4( iron over aluminum) fork but I would suggest changing all pads( new forks come with pads) .

You will also need to re-shim( check the bearing end play) after such a swap.
