My rear defroster is not functioning. I've checked the fuse and it should be fine. It shares the circuit with the power seats, and they work.

I visually inspected the wires connecting to the heater grid. I can see that the wire lead on the passenger has come loose from the heating grid. It's kinda just hanging there now. I looks like it was soldered in place to begin with. Does anyone have any ideas how to re-attach that connection? Does a metallic-conductive glue exist?

I'd say go again for the soldering.

Of hand, nothing comes to mind as a condusive glue other than a solder.

Yeah, that's going to be tough though. I've never tried to solder upside down before. Not looking forward to the prospect of liquid hot magma dripping down on to my arm or the trunk of the car.

yeah, sounds like you may have to remove the hatch to do a good soldering repair. This happened to me, under warranty, so the dealer actually replaced the whole rear glass, rather than trying to fix the break in the wire. And there ARE conductive epoxies out there if you want to try that route. Used mostly for repairing circuit boards and stuff. Try a computer store.
