i'm about to replace the tyres on my 2000 z-28. and have been researching replacements for the stock goodyear eagle gs-c. i was wondering if any one has tried the Avon Tech M550 A/S yet and whats your opinion? i'm looking for more traction, wet and dry and hydro resist. we get more rain then snow here in the s.c so not to worried about snow performance. thanks

Cooper Zeon 2XS - Cheap and good quality.

Avon and Cooper are the same company.

Avon, Cooper, Mastercraft and many other private labels are Cooper. Even Pirelli was a Cooper Tire. I had terrible luck as Cooper tires have very hard compounds and the more they wear the harder they get. -Tim

:approved: :burnout: I used to have goodyear eagle fi gs d3's on my camaro I replaced them with Avon tech M500 once they were slicks. The Avon are the best deal for the money, They cornered better than the F1's and very similar straight line traction. I say go for it dude, actualy I am not too sure about the M550 they are the all seasons, the M500 are high performance summer. Good luck!

Yeah and they were great in the rain. check them out ob tirerack.com and read the reviews. The survey showed steller results!
