My friend has an '02 Z71 with the 5.3L. 120K miles. It started running rough when accelerating and above 3000 rpm. DTC code P0302 was shown. Replaced all plugs/wires (originals still on truck) no change. Now shows P0300 DTC. Checked fuel pressure (50 psi idle). Changed fuel filter, no help. Replaced fuel regulator, no change. Replaced fuel pump and cleaned tank, no change! On the floor the truck has a hard time climbing the hill of my driveway (gentle slope at best). Above 3000 rpm it begins to spark knock.
