I just bought a set of 4.10 guts, and have 3.43 rear end, what will I need to do to get the 4.10 into my 98 z28?

The 4.10 was from a 95 z28 installed by dealership, and has less than 40k miles on them.
My 3.42 have 110k miles, and I think some teeth are broken, changed gear oil, and lots of metal shavings were stuck to magnet, oil was black and burnt smelling. Now rear end sounds hooooorrrrible.

Thnx

I would highly recomend haveing someone do it that does them all the time. My buddy did mine. (He used to work at a 4x4 differental shop). There is a lot to set up in doing gears and if you mess it up, there goes all your money instantly. I would also recomend buying a master rebuild kit due to your high miles on your rear. It comes with new bearings. Better yet, save your money and buy a new Moser 9" thats what I should have done and what I'm saving for now!!

Take it to a shop. I wouldn't use a set of used gears either. You need to get a good installation kit with all the seals and bearings. It's not an easy job at all and if done wrong you it will cost you more in the long run.
