i have a 99' Trans Am, auto tranny. Recently on a road trip i noticed that when my car is cold, the tranny will shift smooth but after awhile of driving when it heats up, the shifting is super hard. The problem is through all gears but most noitcebly between 1 and 2nd gears, very noticeable jerk. Fluid level is fine, color is perfect, what could be going wrong?

Possible pressure control solonoid? It's mounted right on the valve body, not too hard to change out. Solonoid's less than 80 bucks I think.. it can cause harsh shifts.

I'd scan it for any codes - limp mode will increase line pressure.

so even if the service lights not on, there still could be a code thrown? Whats the place that does the scans for free again?
