I've noticed that when my car gets warmed up there is a high-pitched chirping/squeeking/whirring sound and after popping the hood i've determined it's coming from the underside of the engine and doesn't sound like belts. It's been 50°-70° weather lately with some humidity, last night it rained. I have a 2000 ws.6, any :help: would be appreciated.

I don't know if he can comprehend that. I'm sure he is running around like a chicken with his head cut off over his wallet.

Where is the noise exactly coming from?Bottom of motor or just from somewhere underneath the car.It could be your air pump or a bearing in the belt tensioner or the water pump, oil pump,etc....

shit...that's teh best i can describe it, i only assessed it this morning and was wearing work clothes and a leather-coat so i couldn't really go diving around on the ground. zboner wasn't around to do my light-work either, so until then....thanks for the pointers, lawdog.
