so, put the car on a lift a couple of days ago to change the panhard bar, and guess what:
trans fluid, not dripping, but a noticeable amount. seems to come from the connection between engine and tranny, but could be the front edge of the oil pan, too.
should i be worried??? the car behaves and shifts normal. as far as i can tell, the trans fluid level doesn't seem to drop.
i take her to speeds above 100 mph on a regular basis over longer distances, could that have something to do with it? (pressure / heat?)

watch or fix???

it's always best to fix a leak. It's not like it'll get better....it'll only get worse. Clean the bottom of the car real good and take it for a drive to get everything hot then get back under there and find where it's coming from. The tranny lines run from the passenger side top of the tranny up to the front by the balancer pulley then jog over to the cooler. Look at the front lines if you suspect it coming from that point. Is it on the bottom of the k-member back or is it further back on the car?

found it!:hyper:
first: thanks for the advice, i cleaned the underside of the drivetrain the next day.
now today, i looked again and there was fresh fluid on the front left corner of the tranny pan, and guess what: i could turn that front bolt with my fingers...
:eek2:
tightend all the bolts around the pan (quite a few were loose), i guess that should do the trick. and by the way: same with the diff cover! crazy screws, huh? diff cover is new, so that figures, but haven't had anything done to the tranny, so that's kinda strange.
