Help Tranny swap T56 to 4l60e

What exactly do I need to do this. Special mounts? New computer? I have no idea what I need to do the manual to auto change. Please Help.

can I ask why you went auto? prolly drags, but want to know why you chose the 4L60?

Ya, I am setting it up for drag racing. I had fun with the stick, but now its time to get some serious et's. You know what I dont think that it is a 4l60e, it is coming out of a 2000 formula. So it is probabaly the A-4? Not sure, but anyway if you have any info on what I need to do to swap, that would be great.

yea it is the 4L60, man i think there shit, total shit, others maynot agree with me, but I went through 7 of them in less then a year and my car was just a cammed and stalled with all the bolt on's making 400rwhp, and riped the stage 3 trans out. so many people are going with TH350's or TH400's

were they modified at all? I have heard good things about those trannys when they are beefed up. I'm not sure though, I will do my research. Did you swap from a t56? I need to know what I need.

i bought the tci streetfighter kit from summit i didnt like it it shift hard as crap but it always shifted at different rpms and sometimes would not shift until you let off the gas. i dont know but from my exp they sucked. oh yeah when i went auto to stick my speedo only read 1/2 of what i was doing so yours will prob be twice what your doing. youll moost likely need to program your computer from m6 to a4 not for sure as i am a 94 lt1.
