Quick question - Will 1993-1996 (LT1) Camaro tail lights bolt right onto a 1998-2002 Camaro? I think they look better then having the orange section in the new taillights. Thanks!

I believe they fit. Not completely sure, but I've been thinking of doing the same thing under my black outs, I like the way they look at night when they're lit up

Yes, they fit but need wiring harness too. I have a set off of a 96 with the harness if you are interested.

I like the 98-02 lights...the flashing brake light doesn't really catch peoples attention that you wanna make a turn...but if you don't use your signals then it doesn't matter :)

Yes they fit. No you don't need a wiring harness!! Don't listen to those that say so. You just need to shave a little plastic off of the brake lights, I believe. Otherwise it's a little tight. I have a 99 and use the 93-97 tail lights. The only thing I noticed, was that my brake lights seem dimmer with the old tail lights. Need to find brighter bulbs.

i know, i know - holy thread revival! this is the only thread i could find on this. has anyone else done this? does anything have to be altered on the car. i want to change out the lights on my car because i think the older tails look better with the design of the car, but i dont want to do any permanent changes to the car itself.

I dunno, I actually like the 97-02 lights way more. but I believe they're exactly the same in shape, but I'm not sure if the light sockets are the same.

I have done this. Just switches right out. The tail lights are exactly the same shape just different in lens color for the turn signals.
