This question relates to a '99 C5 Corvette / LS1

I'm putting a set of ported AFR heads with comp 918 springs. At this time i'm not going to do a cam. I'd like to increase the rocker arm ratio from 1.6 to 1.7 (or 1.8 if it will fit). But that's the question will a 1.7 fit without interference?

thanks.

Isn't the stock LS1 rocker ratio 1.7 ?

Your right, the LS1 has a 1.7 RR. What about a 1.8 RR.

I would stay with stock 1.7:1 and get a bigger cam
SLP 1.85 $450
New Cam around $400 and more power than just bigger rocker arms
lift is not what adds all the power duration, lift, LSA, ICL, overlap, ramp rate....

The big reason I so no to this is because when you do a cam in the future with the bigger Rockers and then a bigger cam with even more vavle lift you might have to take of the heads again to cut vavle reliefs

The answer to your question is that you can put higher ratio rockers on your car. I put Crane VHP 1.85 rockers on my 02 with absolutely no problems. Yes they are expensive compared to a cam and you probably need a different valve spring too. The Cranes are an interesting option if you do not want to change cams but you want increased lift. Go to the Crane web site and read about it for yourself.
