I was shocked he beat me pretty badly i talked to the guy he said he was pushing about 460 horses is it normal for my Formula to lose stock except for the ram mod and k and N

Shit you can get that on ebay for like less then 500... then just do a coolant bypass and you'll be set... you'll run a little rich for a while... besure to get a tuner to you can tune it with headers! WAY MORE HP BABY!

but you got to think of the install on that... do you expect to install the 3.73's... and the lid ain't much much... i would rather go with LT's and Y Pipe... i found the whole set up for 425 on ebay... and then buy a used SLP lid... you be with those chargers soon!

I agree with Jesusfan, the SRT8 is rated at 425 horses but they weigh 4,000 pounds and i believe they run on 2:92 gears the same as the Daytona's. The SRT8 is quoted by dodge to do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.6 seconds again not good times for the horsepower because of the weight. The Daytonas have 350 horses and hit 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and 1/4 in 14.0 seconds. The regular hemi motors are rated at 10 horses lower than the Daytona. The sales brochures on all of these show the gears being the 2.92's

stall will help but headers and y pipe will, also make my car louder. by the way i got the lid on its way

there is no better mod to do to an automatic car than a stall.
even with a 3000 rpm stall, youll lose a half second. the same cannot be said about headers

Stock Daytona's are nothing to an LS1... I've raced one when I was stock and he was stupid enough to try me doing 70mph... Well, you know what happened...

SRT-8s have 3:06 gears and run low 13s with 108-110mph traps. However they are quirky at the dragstrip but great on the highway. That guy should have quote Rwhp instead of the crank hp he wished he had after his mods.

As far as the 1/4 mile times i have read several articles on these cars and every article list different times, starting at low 13's to mid 13's. Dodge quotes them at 13.6.

I wouldn't fuck with it unless I was about 400+ rwhp, but then again knowing it was probably an unmarked cop I wouldn't fuck with it at all.

That's reversed. 3:06s are tall gears and the powerpeak is at 6100rpm - next to redline. There is no such thing as "lose there peak speed early". 4th gear takes it to the 173mph redline.

That LS-1 in the video may have had bolt-ons, but it sure wasn't stock. Dodge, btw, quotes 13.5, same as MotorTrend. R&T and C&D 13.3 and 13.2. Regardless, talking ETs is launch dependent, the trap speeds tell the potential on the highway/from a roll.

Police duty Chargers are all 5.7s and 340-350hp and run low 14s in the high 90s. If it's a 6.1, it was confiscated or bought special (highly unlikely).
