Nice. it look like a decently open layout. Our course designs are more geared for smaller cars due to our lot size. Our New pavement is a whole lot bigger so next event and next years events we will see speeds of 60-70mph so us and the corvette guys can stretch our legs a bit.:nana:

All he told me was: LS6 intake, cam, and 3.73's...he might have more but that is all he told me. he will probably have to find this post and tell you lol

looks abit out of place. I mean F-bodies doing cone racing (Auto-x) seems abit like a fish out of water.

But hey racing is fun no matter what kinda it is.

I am impressed he didn't get the back end coming around on him.

You would be surprised. There is one dude in our club that has a completely stock convertible z28 (its a 95) and without any mods but stickies he puts some great times, better than a lot of newer corvettes, and even better that one of the guys completely gutted dedicated CP firebird. In this type of competition a Good driver and tires rules the day. He is about 3 seconds faster than me but then again this is my first season and before that I had done 2 events so I have a ways to go.

That has got to be the biggest understatement of the year. You shoud try it. You might get hooked. Check this one out , An acquaintance caught my car on video about a year ago and I didn't even know about it till just recently. Slalom at Bitburg Germany (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaNK6YhNkVU)

That was me. The lot was nice and big, but it was very bumpy and a little too much gravel so traction was limited. Still fun though, and it feels a lot faster than that video looked. Anyway, my mods are:

Engine / Performance:

Lid
MAF
Ported throttle body
TSP Under drive pulleys
LS6 intake
Thunder racing 224/224 .563/.563 114 LSA cam with dual springs
LS6 ported oil pump
LS2 timing chain
Pacesetter long tubes
Off road y-pipe
Magnaflow cat-back
3.73 gears
Dyno tuned

Handling:

Hotchkis Strut tower brace
Hotchkis Sub frame connectors
Hotchkis Trailing arms
G2 adjustable panhard rod
BMR adjustable tunnel mounted torque arm
BMR springs
Bilstein HD shocks

It dyno'd 377rwhp / 373rwtq
Best 1/4 mile was a 12.44 @ 114mph with a 1.9 60ft on street tires

For those that think F-body's don't belong on an Auto-X course, I had one of the best times that day, beating out S2000's, Miata's, WRX's, and EVO's. I've also been on the Gainesville raceway road course. I love drag racing, but sometimes I want to turn too.

wbna0149, I used to be stationed at Spangdahlem. I was stupid and didn't bring my car with me, but have auto-X'd in that very spot in a friends Z28. You're car looks like it has a lot of handling mods, you are really ripping around those cones!

Yeah I have been hitting it there off and on for the last 7 years. Same with Hockenheimring.

quite a good driver.

both runs look like it's quite open and the first one seems a bit dusty, though.

Cool video --

A. I am not that good of a driver with this car (yet)
B. my back end gets loose in the smallest of turns if I burp the gas in a low gear. 1 or 2 usually

Looks like alot of fun.

Nice driving! :)

It was very dusty, traction was limited for sure.
