View Full Version : SLP Loudmouth Clearance?

I recently got the SLP Loudmouth kit installed and have noticed now that its settled some that it hits when I run over a pothole or sometimes speedbump. I think what its bumping is called the Panhard bar (but don't quote me).

Has anyone else had a similar issue with the Loudmouth I system? It appears to be installed perfect according to the bolts and where it's sitting. But if you look it comes over the rear axle and there's not even finger room at the very back by the panhard bar (or whatever). Any advice is appreciated.

THX!

mine is fine. My only concern is that the resonator comes to close to my driveshaft.

Yeah, I haven't heard of many issues with this, so It's kinda weird. There is barely any room above that bar at the back. That's the only piece I think that would be makin contact.

Honestly one thing everyone has to remember is to leave all pipes lose until you have them were you want them. I have tons of room.

thx guys.
Split, looks like you had something similar. I dunno for sure as I paid someone to install mine, but it looks almost exactly like yours in the pics. It seems like it will either hit the panhard, or if I adjust it, the top pipe that curves over the axle will hit the bottom of the car. I'll try to give it an adjust and let ya'll know.

Again,
THX!

Hey split,
Do you have any pics after you fixed your loudmouth?

I had my exhaust and subframes connectors done at about the same time. I just assumed that it was the exhaust but am starting to think that there's something with the SFC's.

I just went all around my car and I have about finger room all the way around everything (around Panhard is closest to touching) and can find no scuff marks where anything is hitting.

I bought the weld in's and had them professionally done also. I'm going to go back under in the morn to see if they might've melted some bushings welding or something. The thumping is driving me batsheet.

Make sure your clamps are rotated so that they do not reduce ground clearance. I dragged here and there until I made the adjustment.

Sure enough, it was the subframes. They said that they torqued the bolts to the LCA's tight and they must've loosened up some.

feels and sounds great right now. I'll keep an eye on those bolts as apparently you have to REALLY compress those bolts after adding SFC's or you might get a rattle/ thump over bumps.

Thanks for the help guys.
