winter tires?

what do you guys think of these tires

i have a 99 v6 camaro and i cant drive in the rain my rears are so bald because the ass who i bought ti from drive like an ass.

i would like to use these year around.

i was lookin at 235/45or55/17


next question is:

is a 255 45 17 the same diameter as a stock tire?

if not what side wall would i need on a 235/?/17 to keep it the way it is

If you have a 17X9 or 17X9.5 you will need a 285/40R17 to keep the same diameter of 26.1" . I would not run a 245/45R17 on a 17X9 wheel, you will have NO rim protection and it will look like ass from being stretched on it to fit and to top it off it will look like a ricer wheel. I currently run BFG KDWS's on my 99 Firebird V-6 and love them. A very decent tire in dry weather too if you go wide enough.

Of course they dont sell a pure winter tire in that size, the next best thing is a BF Goodrich KDWS, they work well in snow. Stay away from Pirelli, they become hard as bricks as they wear and give horrible dry traction. Here is a link, take a look for yourself.... -Tim
