hey all, I'm ready to install my pacesetters and dual system. after im done im sure it will throw a code right? I've got extensions for the front o2s but what about the rear o2s? i've heard that they won't effect the engine at all just throw a code. is this true? so would a handheld like the preditor tuner set it all straight or do i need to take it to a shop? will it hurt the engine to drive for a while without a tune?

You will need 02 simulators or you can have it professionally tuned to eliminate the mil's for the rear o2 sensors. The o2 simulators tell the computer you still have cats. You should tune it out anyway w/a handheld or professionaly it makes a huge difference to the performance overall. You can find o2 simulators @ speedinc.com They're about $100 They go on the rear 02 sensors. Very easy install. o2 sensors is the cheapest fix. They can be hard to find though, the EPA stopped production recently. I have o2 Sims on mine and I don't have an SES light anymore. Good Luck!

we had this discussion in another thread. if the rear o2s aren't working properly, the computer will adjust fueling slightly to see if the front o2s will change and be different that the rears.
