i have been having problems with my ws6 overheating. i have a new water pump, new 160 stat and i just got my radiator flushed. it drove fine for about an hour after i got the radiator flushed and then when i pulled in my driveway it shot up quick as hell. i have heard that my cap could be causing it because the radiator is built on a pressure system and once it builds up enough pressure the cap is designed to relieve the pressure. i dont know if any of this is true but i would like some advice so if anybody has any please let me know.
thanks
That is always a possiblity...the caps are cheap. Another thing could be air in your system perhaps?

LT1's have reverse flow cooling form any normal system and the pressure is to increase the boiling point so you do want the pressure built up to the rating or it will boil too low.

when i got my radiator flushed they got all the air out, so the only thing i can think of is the cap. i am gonna replace the cap just to see if it gets better. shouldnt the cap let the air out of the system if not how do i let it out?

Does your fan work? that may be the cause.

both fans work. the one runs all time and the other one kicks on at 180 because of my slp fan switch.
