1.8 rockers or cam and stock rockers.
Alot of the aftermarket cams say they don't reccomend the 1.8 rockers, but when people like SLP sell a performance pac they sell the 1.8 rockers and no cam. How mush hp will just the 1.8 rockers provide over stock?

i gained 9 rwhp with the rockers.
i sold the rockers and added a cam, a 39 h.p bump that you can feel all the way threw the power band.
my vote is for the cam.

I have a cam that requires 1.7 and they sent me 1.8's on accident and let me tell you, it threw my valve geometry off and I ended up with a bent valve because some cams have a fast ramp rate and with 1.8's, you can actually float the valves open. Research your cam and valvetrain parts and find the best setup for your application. Most custom grinds from Thunder Racing I will let you know right now require 1.7's.

The rocker ratio multiplies the lift of the cam...meaning if you have a high lift cam already (rated at 1.7) it can go way too high with a 1.8 ratio and the valve will actually hit the piston.
Say its a .585" lift, that number is figured with a 1.7 rocker ratio. To figure out what it would be with 1.8 you would take .585 / 1.7, then take the answer x1.8. You get about .620".

I would go with a properly specified cam before rockers. Rockers can alter the valvetrain geometry and cause more problems than they are worth. The stock rockers are pretty good.

I like my stock rockers....
