I just finished installing a Comp Cam, lifters, and Comp Cam's roller rocker arms in a close relative's 97 WS6. These seem to make more noise than what a Ford guy like me is used to. Does anybody have any input on how much noise should be expected from these rocker arms?

when i did rocker arms, my motor kinda sounded like a sewing machine.
its normal to have more valve chatter when installing aftermarket parts.

very normal to have that much valvetrain noise but then again, he may have some issues with clearance on the valve covers cause some roller lifters will tap the valve covers

Thanks for the input. I'm going to pull the rocker covers and inspect for damage/contact from the rocker arms. I'll also recheck the adjustment of the rocker arms.

I have the Cranes and am not familiar with the Comps. The Cranes are very quiet, but they also set the lifter preload deeper to account for block/head expansion when hot.
