Ok,

Latest idea, i am able to score a 5.7 long block. I am thinkin of yankin out the pesky 5.3 with no power with the 5.7 that has enough power to bring a smile to everyones face...

But i have a question, why are all the truck and SUV engines iron while the cars aluminium?

Is it just purely a weight issue, or does it run deeper then that?

Transmission wise, the 4L60e will stand up to the power, and tunin it will be a mere copy paste...

durability and cost, trucks and suvs tow 7000lbs. but I believe some of the new 5.3's are aluminum maybe with the E85 option.
