Shorty antenna question

How much should one of those 4-6 inch shorty antennas cost? And how easy is the install? TIA guys

We Trans Am owners can't just screw off the antenna if we have a power one, right? I want to change mine to manual by installing a switch in the ashtray. Anyone have info on that? :think:

Ooops! I forgot about the T/A power antenna. Yes you can wire a switch to antenna. I can't remember the wire color, but it comes off the radio's harness. Just cut it, and run it to a switch wherever you want.

Here's a write up on installing a power antenna on a Camaro. You might be able to find the wire color there.
