I can't decode it for you, but yearone has the information in the front of each of it's catalog, they may even have it on the website. Just start looking for GTO information and parts, the information is out there. Yearone was the first catalog I got when I bought my 65 Lemans.

Zero in 67. They had a 400. 4Ram Air, 4 HO, 2 BBL, 4 STD.

6339 (326), 6133 (400), 6135 (428). There are multiple head casting numbers. block codes 400 255hp xl & xm, 400 335 wt, ww, & ys. 400 360HO ws,wv, & yz. 400 360 Ram air xs,yr, & xp. Have fun.

223= black interior k2=these are the paint codes don't have my books with me but it a vinyl top car as the k is the lower body color and 2 is the top color if you want me to look up I will.
vin 2= pontiac 42= gto 17= hardtop 7= year B=baltimore 1= place holder 40064= 40,064 gto built that year

If you want to know what options you car was ordered with contact pontiac historical service at phs-online as they own all the pontiac records pre 81

81,722 gtos built in 67 and 42,594 were autos all autos were turbo 400 3 spd. 7,029 coupes, 65,176 hardtops, 9,517 convertibles. 751 ram air cars 360 hp, 13,827 h.o. cars360 hp, 2,967 2-bbl cars 290 hp, and 64,177 standard horse cars 335 hp. any of these motors could be ordered with an auto. There were no factory tripower cars after 66 as GM banned these except for use on corvettes. 67 was the first year for the turbo 400 and the first year autos outsold sticks.
