When someone says their LS1 has 15 degree heads VS the standard 23 degree small block head, what is it exactly that is 15 degrees? I have heard that it's the angle the intake valve is offset from the piston face. I have heard it is spark plug related. I have heard all kinds of stories. What is it?

My best guess would be that the 15 degree refers to the valve angle in relation to the face of the piston.

Yeah, valve angle to the center of the piston. Doesn't the LS7 have 12* heads...they're supposed to flow wicked!!
