My Left turn signal bulb burned out. I have the correct replacement bulb but I can not figure out how to turn the bulb housing. I did locate the bulb from inside the engine compartment. I know this must be a simple change since the Oil guy did it for me last time with no problems. Is there a simple description someone can give me to help? I want to avoid any tickets and living in Arizona in the summer I don't want to drive around with my window down in 100+ degree weather.

Any help would be great! :yup:

THANKS

I actually reach in through the open vent under the turn signal in the front of the car, twist the housing and pull it down and out of the vent. Be careful as it doesn't come all the way out. pull the old bulb and then replace the housing twisting it back in place.

Hurley711,

I'll have to go outside and try that... I don't remember seeing an open vent but then I was not looking for it.

Thanks! :beer3:

Hurley711,

My car has fog lights below the turn signals.... do I remove those? I know the guy replaced them from going inside the engine area. I'll try again after work

Right under the front of the car...you'll have 2 (if i remember right) bolts i think 10mm? take those off and the flap folds down. reach your hand in and .....walaaaa

Keno2095,

Very Cool logo! Ok.. I will go and check for a flap. I did a short look first time one went out and did not really see an easy way. It would have been nice if the manual the car came with gave some hint of this process .... time to break down and get a REAL manual I guess. Off to check.....

THANK YOU!!!!

saved from from taking it to someone and looking dumb. Now I have to seal that area so no water gets in. It does rain sometimes in AZ.

I believe you can drill a small hole in the bottom of the turn signal housing for water to drain out of and keep your bulbs from breaking. I haven't done it yet, but I'm pretty sure you just drill a tiny hole for the water to drain out of.
