How Much Oil In A Gto?

Hi Guys: new member here. I have a ls1 with a GTO pan installed in an ultima GTR. Problem is I do not have a clue as to the appropraite oil level for this pan. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Lee

my 04 GTO gets 6 quarts in the pan and half a quart for the filter.

on this subject years ago i had a 64 chevelle i was 16 ,we changed the oil and didn't know how much to put in so we figured it would need at least 2 gallons.Didn't start and made a huge mess.

The GTO with the LS-1 and the LS-2 engines uses 6 quarts of oil, period. That is with the filter change. Not 6 1/2. Check your owners manual.
