Power Steering pump leak AGHHHHHHHH!

So, the fun began last winter, my power steering was leaking when it got
cold. Reached 100,000 miles and then stuff starts falling off. The alternator
crapped out, and I can see why, it was all full of ps fluid. So replaced the
alternator, and decided to do the ps pump soon. Then the water pump started
making noise, so last weekend I buckled down and replaced both the water
pump and power steering pump. Put it all back together, made sure all fluids
were full and ran it for 1/2 hour. No leaks. Shut it down and picked up all the
tools, checked under car for tools and see the ps fluid dripping of the
alternator. Crap! Well, took the rented pulley puller back where I got the ps
pump and told them what I saw. Doesn't leak when running. When I remove
the fill cap it sound like opening a beer, PFHHT! so it has pressure. I asked if
there was any seal between the resevoir and pump, and they said no. So I
went to a dealer and ordered a new (not rebuilt) pump AND resevoir, just in
case it was cracked or something. Well, don't you know the resevoir comes
with an o-ring! Didn't see one with the rebuilt pump, so apparently when I
took it apart it either fell off and I didn't notice it, or it was stuck to the old
pump! Make sure to get the o-ring and put it on if you change ps pump!

So yesterday, I took a day off from work, hoping to get my car back on the
road. Well, putting the o-ring back on the ps pump fixed the leak. While I had
it up on the jack stands, I decided to take a closer look at the brakes, I had
another post about possible warpped rotor (spelled rotor wrong - rotpr). Well,
the passenger side had a slide pin for the caliper that was marginally sticking.
But the driver's side had a slide pin that was totally froze. The pads still look
brand new even after 2 years (Morse ceramic) and the rotor's seemed ok to
the eyeball look. Had to order a caliper mounting bracket from the dealer, will
get it tomorrow morning and put on. Will let you know what happens next!

I don't have nearly that much mileage on my car (35,000 now) but noticed a slight weep from the power steering pump. Flushed the fluid and replaced with regular power steering fluid (say no to stop leak lol) and problem solved! Just in case someone might want to try this first. Had that work on another car I had (an old Mopar-gasp-it was a hand me down) so it's more than just a fluke.
