View Full Version : Kinda stupid Question???

I just changed my oil about a thousand miles ago. Whats the story with the change oil light coming on now. I am trying out a K&N filter, and I think its the cause of it. Anyone have this issue before? And whats the best remedy? Obviously Im gonna change the oil, but will that solve it?

Did you remember to reset the oil change light when you changed the oil otherwise that could be the culprit.

I don't have a manual. How do you reset the oil change light?

Turn the key to on. Don't start it.
Then hold down the trip reset until the oil change light blinks

Alternate method:

Turn the key on, press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times, quickly.

Ha! It's ok at least you didn't change the oil again you'd have been pissed when it started flashing with new oil in it!
