2007 Mustang GT lol

a guy that works down the hall from me has a 07 Mustang GT and he parked by me today.

Nice looking ride, but I noticed his tires looked very narrow.

I checked them and saw they were 235's LOL

I went in to bust his chops about it. He said they used narrower tires because they went back to the old style (when they did the retro body 05+) and that is why they have skinnier tires.

Then we left work at the same time, and I was still joking about his little donut size tires, he said, Chevy/ GM has always made their tires way too wide, and that they don't need to be that wide.

I just smiled and took off and got sideways as I left the parking lot.


This isn't meant to bash the Mustang, I actually like the new ones a lot, but after seeing the new camaro I like it Much better.

yeah Ford fucked up when they made them 235's. It made the stangs grip rating on all of those Motor Trend and Car& Driver magazines go to shit. Made everyone think the cars handled worse than the past stangs.

like I said before though, ...I like the Stang, I thought about buying one.

I just found it comical that the tires were 235s. I think there are four bangers with tires that wide (stock)

probably gave them 235s so that the lack of power would still burn out decently like a f-body on 275s or 315s and make them feel all badass.

they probably made the tires narrower for gas mielage pourposes.

the guy was right, u dont need wide tires... unless ur into racing/performance, which most people are not.

they make their cars to sell to the general public and if you want wider wheels buy new ones

dude not only the gts but the shelbys too, i was at the local dealer jsut browsing and this sales guy that was supposedly mr mustang, anyways yeagh i was lookin at the shelby and than noticed the tires and jsut started laughing he said what and i said my moms camry has bigger tires than this piece of shit lol. the salesman just walked away. I HATE MUSTANGS. FUCK EM ALL

For such a small tire they hook pretty well. I drove my coworkers 07 GT its and auto and even from a 2k Stall it just left.
