I will be picking up my 2000 Z28 A4 in a few days. Its bone stock with 81000 miles.
What shoud it run in the 1/4 mile time and speed?
Im new to the LS1 game, What would it take to get to a 12.9 or so?
Thanks, Jason

13.2-13.6 at around 103-105 depending on elevation.
12.9, converter and tires.

Well i have a 98 A4 that ran a 13.6 stock so 12.9 could come with a converter pretty easily. Just get some good drag radials first.

I'm doing 12.80's at 106 with 106,000 miles on the clock, with a converter, gears, and DR's. Get your 60' down to the 1.80's and you'll be there.

How does the LT1 conpare to the LS1 Low end and top end. It seems like the Ls1 has a bad ass top end if people are getting well over 100 MPH in the 1/4 mile.
I was getting 13.7@100 mph with my 1997 LT1 A4

LS1's typically trap a little over 103mph stock, depending on the conditions. I'd say you trap about 104 mph, an run a 13.6 sec. 1/4 mile with a bone stock car. Then again you may get some good air, and do considerably better.

You know, going from my 1994 Mustang GT Convertible Automatic to a LS1 Camaro is like night and day. My Mustang was dirt slow conpared to my Camaro. When my Mustang was bone stock it ran a 16.3@87 MPH. I did have some pretty bald tires.
never ran it with all my mods it was totaled two weeks ago at 95955 miles
My Mustang had these mods on it below. What do you think it may have run in the 1/4 mile with these mods?
FRPP Underrive pulleys
FRPP 65mm throttke body
MAC off road h-pipe
MAC pro dump exhaust
Adjustable fuel regulator
MAC Fenderwell cold air

The LS1 will go mid 13's at 103+ stock
Depending on how strong it is... stocker's with GREAT drivers have snuck into the 12's.
Basic intale/ exhasut can wake the car up and get it into the 12's easily... keep us updated.

I had 3.73's, borla, lid, hypertech, my best pass which was on a hot day was 13.10. So I'd say tires and a converter will easily get u 12's. This was in an a4 too. Ot just spen the $500 and get the juice.

How were your launches and 60' ?

As far as I could tell no tire spin but my 60' times were all like 2.011 and 2.048 If i got the 60' down to 1.9 i think the car would run a 13.3-13.4 I will be getting a lid and filter for X-mas I wonder if a 12.9 could be in my near future?
I did not press the gas untill i saw the last light come on then i just floored it. It was cool, in the mid 50's low humidity
My RT. were .373 and .343
Does this seemin line with stock 2000 Z28 A4's?
Thanks, Jason
