I have a 2002 camaro V6, 5 speed, I would like to put in a V8, besides the engine what else would I need to get, to complete the project. I obviously know very little about cars. Somebody help me out right quick.

For the money you would spend doing a full conversion you are going to end up paying the difference between the two cars. I would just save up, sell your car and buy what you want.

Assuming you would have the work done by a professional of course...

If you have the tools and knowledge to undergo this kind of a project yourself you may be able to save some big $ though. The cost of labor alone would turn me off.

well if you want a list

computer
sensors
tranny
rearend(while your at it)
drive shaft
susspinsion
engine
full exausht
brackets to remount all the accessories
fuel system
ignition
intake
bandaids
and all the fasteners to make it work

labor will double if not tripple the price

I would have to agree. I was looking at buying a Camaro and thought about the V6. For a small difference in price and insurance I can get a nice V8.

Would it be less expensive to just install a turbo with alcohol injection? I’m new here, so I’m not sure if that is something the V6 f-body guys do, but it does work well on my Grand Prix (3800 V6).

basically the same engine but like they said above it might be in the best intrest to sell ur ride and get a V8 cuz the hassle of having it done would be very expensive unless like they said u could do it yourself.

I've sortof already done too much to my 6 to sell it and I couldn't imagine selling it... I may just bite the bullet and pay the professional cost. would it cost like$8000?
