Turtle wax color wax?

i saw it today, its made for specific colors....and it comes with a paste pen....to fill in scratches...does this type of wax work?

Ive actually used it time and time again. Does it work? Kinda. It depends on what youd rather see. Ive got some scratched near my headlamps that go to the actual metal (dont know how that happened). Ive gone over the scratches with the stick, then waxed it over...the result was a darker shade of red inside the scratch than on the regular paint.

My suggestion is to try a different brand. This stuff works, but its not perfect and if I had to do it again, I might try a different brand 2nd time around.

No. Its just that its more or a marketing ploy than anything else. That Turtle Wax "color wax" stuff has been around for 10 years, its nothing new.

Invest in a quality wax like Meguires NXT or Zaino. You will get much better results from those than anything from Turtle Wax.

Exactly...even though i'm not a fan of NXT (too overpriced and doesn't last).

Turtle wax may have been great 20 or 30 years ago but now companies like Zaino Bro's and Meguiars top the market. IMHO the best "single stage" wax for a quick application is the Gold Class...it seems to work best on dark cars though. I personally use Meguiars #6, #7, #26, and #34 on a regular basis...I like the way the wax lasts due to its high carnuba content. The NXT just doesn't seem to last, but thats pretty common for "synthetic" type waxes. (except Zaino, seems to last very well).

Its all really about personal opinion, but wax is one of those "you pay for what you get" type items. If you wax your car with a 3.50 container of Kit car wax, don't expect it to work as well or last as long as a $14 bottle of #26 Meguiars.

You would probaby get the exact same results by splashing some water on your car :lmao:

Try Zaino or the Meguiars line like previously suggested.

yea i work at chevy detailing cars and i used some mguires machine glaze...and it def. came out good...but i need to wax it, and i just saw it at the store.....at work they have some mguires wax but its not the best wax its prob. the lowest quality mguires...

i wanted to get a good cleaner wax and then a good polish or wax that is good for black cars to go back over it

It really does make scratches less noticable. The weird thing is when you remove the wax your cloth doesnt have black on it. Its clear!
