how hard is a th400 swap

allright I have a wrecked 98 z28 I would like to make a drag car. Not going to drive on the street so I figure a th400 would be cheaper than an80e and the tc's are too. Any input?

It's a pretty straight forward swap. I used a m6 cross member, had a custom steel drive shaft made to handle the trans brake and nitrous leaves. The bell housing bolts right up but you will need to leave out one of the bell housing bolts. I used an adapter made by JW Performance to use a stock style gm convertor to bolt to the crank and the convertor. Hope this helps.
