posting pics?

I'm sure I'm the only idiot who doesn't know how to do this but--how do you post pics.I put in the url but the picture doesn't come up-what do you have to do-anyone?:think:

I also would like to know how to post pics, How do you post pics that are saved on your computer, like scanned images??? :hmm: :dunno:

Couple of things gang....
Sometimes folks post a pic that is huge....screws up the entire thread cuz everybody has to scroll up and down and side to side just to read the thread cuz somebody posted a huge pic in the thread......
Resize the pic to around a 600X600 maximum firstly.....here are a couple of free and simple tools to resize pics....

Scroll down and on the right hand side you will see "Image Resizer"...this tool will allow you to right mouse click on any picture and resize it instantly......another great tool with a helluva lot more features other than just simple resizing of the picture is IrfanView....great package and yes free.... http://www.sgtgeek.com/graphics.htm

Once you have resized your picture to a reasonable size you need a place to host it...... www.photobucket.com is totally free and easy....create an account....browse your hard drive for the resized picture you want....submit it...and viola....it is now hosted.....simply copy the IMAGE "tag" now provided to you and paste it in your message....now we all can see your pic....we don't eat up precious ls1.com bandwidth and life is good......your pic will now look like this on the message board....
