Well it was my first autocross and it was pretty fun I thought...

My first time was a 107
Second time was a 97, so I cleared it up 10 seconds...pretty good for a truck :)

The course was extremely bumpy and sandy. I couldn't get traction anywhere; but it was still fun. I want to do another autocross, but I won't go back to that place.

Gents,

Check out the link I posted below; it has all the southeast division sites. Scroll down and click on the one that is in your area, then surf their pages for the schedules. Call them if you have questions. Every region is always interested in getting more participants.

The second link covers the entire USA for those who are in other areas.

looks like you had fun, although the surface conditions weren't ideal.

The first autocross is always a blast...AND every race after that. Just be forwarned, that stuff (once you get addicted, which is easy) gets expensive FAST! With every race you want to do better and you will hear from other people, or you might already know yourself, how to go faster, how to get your car or truck handling better. My first year of autocrossing I put almost $9,000 in different mods (exhaust, intake, suspension (x2), tires (x2), wheels, alignments, etc) into my T/A. I did a mod between almost every race (about a month between races) to see if I could do better, and usually did. As a result I have a lot of excess parts in the garage and about 12 tires and rims gathering dust...LOL

Would I do anything differently though? HELL NO!! It's a blast and the car handles like a dream now. Just have fun doing it and talk to other people with similar cars to learn what mods work and which ones don't. If you let the other drivers know you are a novice they will be more than willing to talk to you and make suggestions. Keep in mind as a novice you are allowed to be a passenger in any other vehicle you want which will help you learn the course, learn braking points, etc, etc, etc... :burnout:

Yeah I rode with SS#1531, his car is fast as shit (to me at least). I also rode w/ a G35 and a regular Impreza...nothing compared to the SS though..nothing lol. I really enjoyed it and I do want to do it again. It seems like a really good hobby for me, I was never really good at any sports..but damn I can drive lol.
