A high stall converter is only one part of the equation. The converter ALONE will not cause any engine damage.

No, however it will play hell on the stock transmission, you should get a TransGo shift kit, and a B&M 24K cooler, for your year vehicle, the TM should not be an issue.

Do a lot of research on finding someone who knows what they are doing when you have the internal tranny work done. I spent $2400 on a build for my A4 and it kept burning up 3-4 gear clutches. It was getting so bad the tranny would burn them up in one day and every time I pulled it out it was $200. I had the tranny out 4-5 times so do the math, $2400+$800=Ripped the F*ck off. So like I said I can't stress it enough do your research.

I was told instead of a rebuild go with one of these. The guy who told me about them had nothing but good things to say.

Hey I think you reccomended it to me. What stall did you go with juiced?
I got a price of 300 to put mine in so I am going with that since my back is screwd.
Also do you need a tune if you get a different stall? thanks
