Depending on the size of the stall... but yeah, that should work for most anything.

How many miles on your A4? Not to scare you, but if your gonna drop the tranny I would consider new clutches and band. Definately want a poly mount the stock one WILL break with mods. Cheap insurance.

also getting a deeper trans pan would be good as well.

You don't. I was just stating that if you were going to do it for, let's say, a converter install you would want to consider it.

If your going to be racing your car very much start saving for a rebuild or new tranny. The clutchs go out quick once you start doing major mods or big hp increases

TCI streetfighter 3000 stall is a good converter.

I do not race my vehicle, just enjoy the power, and open it up occasionally when no one is around. I replaced the stock 2-4 servo, with a Superior race grade servo, it really makes a difference on the 1-2 shift.

Yes it is, the 2-4 servo is a round unit that is located on the outside of the transmission, on the side. I can not accuratley describe how it works, something about allowing more fluid through or across the servo surface to crispen up the shifts over the stock unit (which I believe is the LS6 unit).
I am sure someone else can give you a more lucid explination.

while the stock ones should be fine the the TR6 is a colder plug. most cars with NX run the TR6
